In the business world, we have all had the experience of being treated as a “transaction.” Not a good feeling, right? Whether you represent buyers or sellers, “building a relationship,” “holding true to your values,” “acting in the best interest of your client always,” and “being a trusted member of the client’s extended family” will ensure that your clients never experience the feeling of “transaction.”
After experiencing a gratifying 20+ years career as a Licensed Insurance agent for Liberty Mutual Insurance, I decided to pursue a career in Real Estate where the same principles could be applied.
My sales career probably really started in the Philippines, where, at a very young age, I helped my mom at her store negotiating sales with customers, always trying to create a win-win for the shopper and my mom. When I was a teenager, we moved to the US, and I worked in various fields, including hospitality, mortgage lending, banking, and finally, Insurance. It was then that I realized a common thread, the combination of “my love for people and just as importantly, hard work and pushing myself to be successful was very rewarding.
While raising my 3 sons as a single mom, I started my Liberty Mutual Insurance sales career in Reno, Nevada, in 1997 and moved to the bay area 6 years ago, where I remained with the company. I earned an elevated status within the company as the “rookie of the year” and lamplighter award (meeting Life Insurance sales goals in my first year in business). I was awarded Liberty Leaders (top producer) 4x and many other prestigious awards, yet it was my desire to provide exceptional and personal assistance to clients that were the most satisfying.
